Intake Form
In order for us to process your potential case, all fields must be filled out completely.
What to Expect During Your Initial Consultation Appointment
Prior to scheduling an in-person appointment with any potential client, we will ask that complete our intake form contained on our website to provide basic information about yourself and the opposing party. Upon receipt of this information, our office will conduct internal conflict checks to ensure that there is nothing prohibiting us from meeting with you.
Assuming there is no conflict, our next step is to email you our full intake form to complete depending on your type of case. Upon receipt of the completed intake form, we will provide possible dates for a consultation appointment as well as a link for payment for our consultation fee to be paid in advance of the meeting. Our consultation fee is $500, which must be paid in advance of the meeting. If the form is incomplete or the consultation fee is not paid prior to our scheduled consultation date, our firm policy is to cancel the appointment until completed.
At the time of our meeting, we will review any documents relevant to your case so please bring those with you so that we may properly advise you. For instance, if you are currently involved in litigation, it would be important for us to have a copy of the relevant portions of your file to date, including the filed pleadings, orders, and affidavits. This will better assist us in being able to guide you at the time of our initial meeting.
At the time of the initial consultation, we will listen to the issues of your matter and provide you an honest assessment of your case based upon the facts presented. We will listen to your goals and determine whether those can or cannot be met. Our consultation will provide you the best and worst case scenarios based upon your case, and next steps for you based upon the issues presented.
At the conclusion of the appointment, we will discuss our initial retainer fee to get started on your case. It is difficult to determine what the initial retainer fee will be as it is predicated upon the issues involved in the case, the complexity of the case, and other relevant factors.
After the initial consultation, should you decide to hire our firm, we will email you a link to our engagement agreement and retainer fee. Once the engagement agreement is signed and the retainer fee is paid, we have been officially engaged to begin work on your behalf.
As always, our firm is willing to answer any general questions you may have after the consultation about the process or your case based upon our assessment. However, if you have come to us for a second opinion and you currently have counsel in place, we cannot provide you ongoing legal advice about your ongoing matter in which you currently have legal representation.
