Attorney Carrie Warner Launches New Practice & New Website

Passion for justice. Compassion for people.

With the turn of the calendar in 2015, Carrie Warner entered into private practice in Columbia, SC, with a sense of determination to right wrongs, as well as a commitment to help families and individuals whose rights and civil liberties have been ignored, jeopardized or violated. To make herself more visible and accessible to people who need real legal assistance, she has launched a new website: carriewarner.com.

“I had a great beginning to my career, having practiced at the law firm my dad started many years ago. Just as he followed his passion to fight injustice, particularly against elderly citizens, so have I embarked on my own personal mission to help families, couples, and individuals who have had their rights compromised. It’s something I feel strongly about, and I look forward to taking up the fight to help people battle injustice.”

Ms. Warner graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice and then earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2004. Since then, she has embarked on a successful legal career as a proven trial lawyer with a passionate, yet thoughtful approach that is grounded in legal precedent for families and victims. In the past year she earned recognition for her role on the legal team that made history in South Carolina by challenging the state’s ban on same sex marriages—they won. With the final decision being proclaimed by the U.S. District Court, Carrie and her team were catapulted into the legal spotlight and were featured in a number of publications and news media outlets.

“There was a real sense of satisfaction and joy after winning this verdict,” says Ms. Warner. “It was a long hard road and in the end we were able to secure the rights for so many brave couples who battled against this inherent prejudice and injustice.” That is just the beginning for Carrie as she enters the next chapter of her legal career, continuing the fight for justice with even greater resolve and a sense of purpose. Take a moment to check out her new website: see what her areas of concentration are, view her legal history, and discover what motivates her to fight for people’s rights no matter how formidable or daunting the foe. “At the end of the day,” says Ms. Warner, “I want to make a difference in people’s lives by helping them realize the rights that are innately theirs as stipulated by law. I want them to know there is someone out there who cares and is willing to fight on their behalf.”
